TITLE
The dish is mounted on a boulder on the logging road. It must be rock steady and have a clear view, bearing 130 degrees (SE), elevation 30 degrees. When we tried to drill mounting holes in the granite with our electric drill and masonry bit the bit almost melted. Wally said to borrow a Hilty drill and bit from Sonora, which we did. It drilled our 2" deep hole in seconds. Lee Edmondson, the Xplornet satellite dealer, owns Lund Auto & Outboard where we keep our boat. Lee's boat cruises at 50+ mph so he made it from Lund to Edna Bay in under 40 minutes.
The satellite connection works great. Faster and less expensive than Telus 1X.Peter tying off rope. The rope measures cable length to net loft.
